Overview

The Strategy Department is managed by Mark Chussil, MBA Harvard Business School. It studies key issues concerning firms as competitors in the global economy, such as the development and effectiveness of strategy. The department is concerned with analyzing the competitive environment, and a firm’s ability to sustain strategy over the long-term.

Academic Programs
The Department of Strategy develops and teaches courses at three levels:

  • FOCUS

    The Department of Strategy focuses on researching complex strategic management issues facing businesses in the modern global economy. The department's primary focus, however, is on teaching and course development. The department continually strives to develop new and innovative methods of course delivery, with an emphasis on quality.

  • SIMS

    Department head Mark Chussil has spent more than 30 years developing a number of strategic simulators, or SIMS. SIMS allow students to test and develop their strategic decision-making skills. Go to the BGSB SIMS website to learn more and to view the current SIMS.
